PATTS College of Aeronautics fosters a professional and respectful learning environment by establishing this comprehensive dress and grooming guidelines designed to ensure that all students present themselves in a manner that reflects the high standards of the Institution.
These guidelines are aimed at the promotion of a consistent and professional appearance among students aligned with the industry standards. These shall apply to all students while on campus, during off-campus activities, and when representing the PATTS College of Aeronautics.
DRESS AND GROOMING GUIDELINES:
FOR MALE STUDENTS
Hair should be kept at a length that does not cover the ears or the collar of the shirt, neat, clean, well-groomed, free of unkempt or disheveled appearances, and should be a natural color;
Facial hair must be clean-shaven;
Polo should be with the College patch, always be tucked-in, buttoned all the way up; and colored as follows:
Four-year technical and management programs - White
Two-year technical program - Blue
Senior High School - Cream
Blazer or coat for management programs should be navy blue, formal, single or double-breasted, fits well, clean, pressed, and free of wrinkles, stains, tears, or other damage;
4. Undershirts should be plain white, and not be visible through the uniform, at the collar or sleeves of the polo;
5. Pants should be navy blue slacks, well-tailored and fit comfortably without being too tight or too loose, and must be clean, pressed and free of wrinkles, tears, or stains.
6. Belt should be black made of leather or a leather-like material, with a simple and understated buckle, and free of wear, tear, or damage;
7. Shoes must be formal black leather, closed-toe, and must always be clean, polished and in good condition;
8. Socks should be black, free of patterns, logos, or embellishments, long enough to ensure that no skin is visible when sitting or moving, and must be clean, free of holes, and without sagging or bunching;
9. Nails must be natural, clean, and properly trimmed. Nail polish should be colorless;
10. Accessories and jewelry should be simple and kept to a minimum. Necklaces should not be visible outside of the uniform. Bracelets and watches should be conservative and quiet. Only one or two simple rings may be worn. No earrings or visible body piercings;
11. PE or laboratory uniforms or shirts shall be worn only during PE or laboratory classes;
12. College shirt paired with jeans, black or blue pants shall be allowed during wash day;
13. Casual attires on Saturdays or midyear classes should be appropriate for academic setting; and
14. Validated school-issued ID with authorized lace should be worn at all times.
FOR FEMALE STUDENTS
Hair should not cover the eyes or face, neat, clean, well-groomed and free of unkempt or disheveled appearances, and should be a natural color;
Polo or blouse should be with the College patch and as follows:
Four-year technical and management programs - White polo, always be tucked-in, buttoned all the way up
Two-year technical program - Blue polo, always be tucked-in, buttoned all the way up
Management Programs - White blouse with blue scarf and PATTS pin
Senior High School - Cream polo, always be tucked-in, buttoned all the way up
Blazer or coat for management programs should be navy blue, formal, single or double-breasted, fits well, clean, pressed, and free of wrinkles, stains, tears, or other damage;

PROHIBITED ATTIRE
Revealing clothing that exposes excessive amounts of skin, such as crop tops, low-cut shirts, and overly short skirts or shorts;
Ripped or torn clothing with visible rips, tears, or distressing;
Shirts with graphic, offensive, inappropriate, and with distracting designs, slogans, or images;
Casual footwear like flip-flops, beach sandals, ;
Hats, caps, and other head coverings indoors unless required for medical or religious reasons;
Large, flashy, or noisy jewelry and accessories that can be distracting;
Outlandish hair colors that are disruptive to the professional environment;
Skinny or slim-fit pants;
Sleeveless shirts for male, sando, strapless, tubes, backless, spaghetti straps, and racer back;
Dress with plunging neckline, body hugging, and hanging shirt or blouse;
Dresses, shorts, or skirts with hemline above the one (1) inch allowance from the student’s longest finger in a standing upright position;
Bottoms where undergarment can be seen (e.g. low-waist or see-through);
MISCELLANEOUS
Students in on-the-job training may be allowed to wear their prescribed company uniform with an OSA approved request letter, photocopy of company ID, and signed certificate of OJT from the company;
Student Auxiliaries, Student Assistants, varsity players, and foreign students are expected to follow the Dress and Grooming Guidelines; and
Students who need exemption based on religion shall have an OSA approved request letter, photocopy of birth certificate, and letter from a religious leader seeking for such accommodation.
