TESTIMONIAL HIGH TEA 2024

Another batch of Certified Industrial Engineers and Registered Aeronautical Engineers produced by PATTS College of Aeronautics have fled to greater new heights, as seventy-one (71) PATTSean Engineers have passed the recently concluded Certified Industrial Engineering Examination and Aeronautical Engineering Licensure Examinations, last April 16, 2023 and December 17-19, 2023, respectively.

In celebration of this achievement, the Testimonial High Tea 2024 was held on March 02, 2024 at the Chairman’s Penthouse. This event honors the success of the newly inducted engineers and celebrates the legacy of excellence fostered by the institution.

The ceremony was graced by the esteemed members of the PATTS Board of Directors; among them were Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO), Dr. Ambrosio III S. Valdez (Board Director), Atty. Anna Katrina Valdez-Cruz (Board Director and VP for Administrative Affairs), Dr. Ana Mercedes Q. Gatmaytan (Board Director), Mr. Ramon B. Dumlao Jr. (Board Director), Ms. Jennifer Charlotte G. Orola (Board Director), and Ms. Ma. Rosa Josefina D. Fresnido (Board Director). 

Joining them were College Officials including Atty. Juan Victor S. Valdez (Corporate Secretary), Dr. Emelita I. Javier (VP for Student Affairs), Engr. Joy Cosme G. Amores, Jr. (VP for Academic Affairs); Program Chairpersons, Engr. Denis S. Desolo (BS Aeronautical Engineering), and Engr. Ma. Corazon P. Rubido (BS Industrial Engineering), and College Instructors. 

The occasion was further elevated by the esteemed presence of distinguished guests from the Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP), including Dr. Jay Jack R. Manzano (SAEP National President), Engr. Arvin Gastardo (SAEP Auditor), and Engr. Billy Joel Liquido (General Aviation Director).

Engr. Amores initiated the event with his Opening Remarks, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the newly minted engineers. Then, Engr. Valdez shared an Inspirational Message, reminding everyone that PATTS vouches its goal to becoming the top aviation school in the country. After that, the new engineers were introduced one by one by Atty. Valdez-Cruz. They walked up to the front to be recognized, marking their transition into the professional world.

Two sets of toast then took place, a form of congratulations and a start of a new beginning for the engineers. The first toast was made by Engr. Valdez, followed Engr. Rubido, each of them gave an inspiring speech before raising their glasses and offering their toast.

A valedictory speech by Engr. Jebcarlo E. Suni, 11th Placer in the 2023 Certified Industrial Engineering Examination, concluded the high tea. “So no matter how hard life can be and how long it will take you, I hope you will still choose to continue,” he stated in his inspiring speech as he emphasized the journey of perseverance and determination leading up to achieving licensure as an engineer, highlighting the challenges faced and the importance of not giving up.

As always, PATTS has a strong track record of producing top-notch professionals in Aeronautical and Industrial Engineering, and a benchmark for excellence in aviation education. As the event celebrated these achievements, the institution assured to recommit to maintaining high standards in engineering education.
