SHS DEMO

Taking the Dance Floor by Storm: Airbus Soars to Victory

On the 15th of March 2024, the gloomy weather did not hinder the electrifying performances and dazzling display of talents of the Senior High School (SHS) students in their Field Demonstration. Annually, the event is held at the campus Open Basketball Court. However, as the rain started to pour that day, it forced everyone to relocate the event at the A.R. Valdez Hall.

The SHS Field Demo’s primary objective is to showcase the creative prowess of the students from various sections. It was also graced by the presence of Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO), Dr. Emelita I. Javier (VP for Student Affairs) and Mr. Gerardo C. Navarro (PATTS Faculty Association President). To properly open the program, an opening remark was delivered by Dr. Catherine M. Camposano (SHS Principal).

The panel of judges meticulously assessed each performance based on the following criteria: Hip-hop moves (25%), Choreography (25%), Synchronization (25%), Props/Costume (15%), Audience Impact (10%).

The competition showcased a variety of artistic expressions from each section: section Boeing impressed with innovative costume design, section Airbus incorporated pure hip-hop elements, section Wright focused on themes of graduation, and section Cayley celebrated Philippine nationalism.

In a highly anticipated moment, the winners were announced, with special recognition awarded to Mr. Kenshin Macatangay and Ms. Bianca Alexandria Santos for their exceptional performances as Best Male and Female Dancers, respectively. The title of Best in Costume was claimed by Airbus, further solidifying their dominance in the competition.

As tension mounted, the Second Runner-Up was awarded to the Wright section, while the First Runner-Up spot was secured by section Cayley, both earning commendations for their remarkable efforts. However, Airbus ultimately soared to victory, clinching the coveted title of Champion with a performance that captivated both judges and audience members alike.
