SPEECH CHOIR COMPETITION

On February 22, 2024, the PATTS Achiever's League held a speech choir competition at the Lobby, which was an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and public speaking skills. The competition featured eight teams from different year levels and programs, each tasked with performing the same piece - "My Mask" by Briana M.

The poem explores hiding one's true feelings and pain behind a facade or "mask" that one creates for oneself. The teams were judged based on their interpretation of the poem, how well they conveyed the theme, and how effectively they performed it.

Section 5 (BS AeroE) emerged victorious and claimed the first-place for their emotionally resonant performance, creativity, flawless execution, and remarkable voice control. Following closely, Section 6A (BS AT) secured second place, with Section 3 (BS AeroE) taking third. The judges commended both teams for their ability to evoke strong emotions from the audience and for their creativity in interpreting the poem.
