PATTS FUN RUN 2024
Embrace the Rush, Set the Pace, Let the Fun Run Thrills Begin!
In the hustle and bustle of busy schedules and tremendous heat, the PATTS community found time on the 6th of April 2024 to kick off this year’s highly anticipated PATTS Fun Run. The streets of Central Park in Filinvest City, Alabang, came alive as students, employees, and college officials sported their blue, white, and yellow-colored shirts. The event was also a culmination of the institution’s 55th Founding Anniversary and a moment to showcase community spirit and camaraderie.
Participants started arriving at the venue as early as three o’clock in the morning. Mr. Gerardo C. Navarro, PATTS Faculty Association President, graced the stage with his inspiring words to officially start the program. After which, before the beginning of a strenuous day, PATTSeans warmed up their bodies with Zumba exercises led by Mr. Benjamin V. Hernandez Jr. (PATTS Athletics Director), Coach Paul Anthony Celis (Women’s Volleyball Head Coach), and the PATTS Men and Women’s Volleyball Teams.
The first segment of the Fun Run resembled a harmonious display of athleticism, with participants charging eagerly toward the finish line in the exhilarating 100 meters sprint competition. Earning the top spots in the Faculty Category were Engr. Ellaine Espiritu (Faculty Member, BS Aeronautical Engineering), and Mr. Andrei Nicolo Reyes (Faculty Member, BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology). Meanwhile, the winners in the Student Category were Ms. Haley Joy Polidario (BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology), and Mr. Rence Aldrich Mendoza (BS Avionics Technology).
As the runners gathered, determination and excitement radiated from each face, eagerly awaiting the signal to kick off the 5K Marathon. Shouts of anticipation were heard as the countdown started and was then followed by the gunfire. Speeding their way to victory, all runners surely deserved to finish on top. With beaming smiles plastered on their faces and amazing prizes to hold, the winners for the faculty/employee category were Ms. Maria Criselda Desolo (BS Tourism Management Faculty) and Mr. Jobert Guiwan (Building Electrician). Similarly, Ms. Haley Joy Polidario (BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology) and Mr. Jordan Gio Alvarez (BS Tourism Management) emerged victorious in the student category. Their triumph is genuinely well-deserved, having given their utmost effort and overcoming their physical limits.
Truly, another successful fun run has come to an end. For PATTSeans, the event was not merely a race but a journey that forged bonds and created unforgettable moments. It has been a well-spent getaway from the everyday hustle of academic life.
