AEROLEAGUE 2024

Defying all Odds

The long awaited annual tournament of the Aeronautical Engineering Research Organization (AERO) is here, the AeroLeague 2024. Teams were formed from different year levels, each vigorously training while juggling their academics, with the goal of obtaining the championship title. This event was held in the A.R. Valdez Hall last April 27, 2024 and May 4, 2024.

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation on the first day of the tournament as the elimination round for basketball began narrowing down the original 10 competing teams. Amidst the tension, the gymnasium erupted with excitement and laughter as the basketball showmatch unfolded between students and faculty members, providing a welcome break from the pressure of the elimination rounds. Meanwhile, the volleyball event had a more streamlined competition with only five (5) teams, making the tournament progress swiftly. However, this did not  diminish the intensity of the matches, particularly the performances of the crowned champions, "AeRAWR," with fan-favorite Engr. Del Rosario from the Faculty of the BS in Aeronautical Engineering Department, showcasing ferocious plays that captivated the audience.

Despite deadly schedules and the scorching summer heat, these athletes did not fail to put up exhilarating showdowns. From overwhelming wins to upsets and records broken, every match was a testament to the effort and dedication of teams. The spectators were on the edge of their seats, loudly cheering for their favorite players. Sparking the spirit of sportsmanship and competitiveness, this is where friendships were forged, rivalries were born, and moments were created. In the end, only a few get to be called champions.
