In a vast definition of every different word, sometimes people cannot occupy the true meaning of something. However, through acquiring knowledge from other people, it became a standard to let certain people share their expertise with the majority. The Aeronautical Engineering Research Organization let the limits be limitless beyond space as they conducted the AEROCognize 2.0 with the theme, 'Flight to the Future: Advancing M.O.R.E.' last May 25, 2024, at the PATTS AVR.
The event started with a joyful introduction and followed by opening remarks. The former President of Aeronautical Engineering Research Organization (AERO) A.Y. 2023-2024, Mr. Kyle Russel Catoto, now a secretary, disclosed his farewell speech as he embarked on his journey into his new beginning. The presentation of objectives and a preview of the event was then followed by Engr. Juan Rafael B. Piano (BS AeroE Instructor). He elaborated to the aces all the objectives that will be tackled during the event proper. In addition, he highlighted to the students that this event would help them to be open to the outside world of the aviation industry.
The first category revolved around the Aircraft Manufacturing Process. Engr. Jasper Keith Martillo is a Design Engineering Manager at Collins Aerospace. He emphasized the advanced developments in manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies, and how these innovations are transforming the way that aircraft are created. The second segment focused on Understanding Aircraft Noise and Its Impact. Mr. Jose Carlo C. Villoria III is a Group Manager at the Luzon Maintenance Operations Aviation Partnership Philippines Corporations. He highlighted the merging of engineering and technology as it modernized the aviation industry. The third segment was about the Hypersonic Flight and Supersonic Travel which was discussed by Engr. Joefreim Armada Delicano. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Davao University. In addition, he tackled ingenious advancements in terms of the aerodynamics of aircraft traveling at both hypersonic and supersonic. Lastly, the fourth segment refers to the Understanding of Interaction of Structure and Aerodynamics. Engr. Reymart C. Loyola enlightened the minds of the aeronautical engineering students in terms of the aircraft’s structural integrity and aerodynamic forces.
In each of the segments, there was an open forum for the students to render their inquiries to the speakers. The organization also added some spice to their event as they included a raffle draw. The event was then closed Ms. Niña Elisha C. Medina, leaving the Aeronautical Engineering students with remarkable words through her dedication and fulfillment as the newly elected AERO President.
