FRESHMEN ORIENTATION 2024

The First Step for Takeoff

On a cloudy morning of August 9th, PATTS College of Aeronautics welcomed the new students for their first event as PATTSeans. Students arrived at the Chairman’s Penthouse early in the morning with a mix of excitement and curiosity evident on their faces. The day began with new students greeted by their enthusiastic upperclassmen who guided them through the registration process.

The orientation kicked off by discussing the PATTS Vision-Mission and a resilient invocation led by Ms. Cherry May B. Gan (Asst. Guidance Counselor & Psychometrician). After the Entrance of Colors and the Philippine National Anthem, Dr. Ma. Theresa M. Cruz, (Student Admissions and Communications Director) formally welcomed the new students for the academic year 2024-2025, urging students to finally take the first steps in achieving their dreams. Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO) then delivered an inspiring message. He also touched on the significance of the seahorse in the PATTS logo, stating, "If we can make a seahorse fly, there's no reason we can't make anyone or anything else fly."

Shortly after, the students' compiled questions were answered in sets. The first set addressed administrative affairs, the second set focused on academic matters, and the final set covered student affairs. Between these sets, trivia questions were posed, allowing freshmen to interact and win prizes for correct answers. Additionally, there were impressive performances by the PATTS Vocal Harmony and PATTS Dance Company, encouraging talented students to join these organizations.

The event concluded with a closing remark from Mr. Jasper Carl A. Magalona, President of the PATTS Student Council, wishing the students a successful year as they begin their college journey.
