134th Department of Military Sciences and Tactics Graduation Ceremony
PATTS College of Aeronautics’ Corps of Cadets proudly celebrated the 134th Department of Military Science and Tactics Graduation Ceremony last June 3, 2024, at the Open Volleyball Court, marking the end of an intensive journey of discipline, dedication, and commitment to excellence for the cadets of Batch "HINILADKAS" 2024.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed officials, including Atty. Anna Katrina Valdez-Cruz, Board Director and Vice President for Administrative Affairs; Dr. Emelita I. Javier, Vice President for Student Affairs; Engr. Joy Cosme G. Amores Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Guest of Honor, Dr. Ambrosio III S. Valdez, Vice Chairman of the Board. Leading the ROTC contingent were ROTC Commandant COL Florante S. Baterina PAF (MNSA), alongside LTC Benjamin C. Siy PAF, Assistant Commandant, and the Military Training Instructors (MTIs).
The ceremony began with opening remarks from Dr. Javier, highlighting the importance of giving due recognition to the NSTP-ROTC Hiniladkas Graduating Class of the academic year 2023-2024. LTC Siy then presented the core sponsors for the year's ROTC program before COL Baterina officially confirmed the basic and advanced cadets of Batch 2023-2024 as graduates.
The proud moment was highlighted by the distribution of certificates and honor medals to the cadet officers in recognition of their exemplary performance. Clad in crisp uniforms, the Cadet Officers and Basic Cadets stood tall, representing the resilience and discipline honed during their time in the ROTC program.
In an inspirational address, Dr. Valdez underscored the significance of the day, noting that the graduation ceremony marked not an end but a new beginning. "As you move forward from this ceremony, you carry with you the values and skills that have been instilled in you throughout the training," he shared. Dr. Valdez emphasized that true strength lies not in individual prowess but in teamwork, resilience, and integrity. He encouraged the cadets to embrace service and community, urging them to become leaders ready to make a difference in the world.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from C/COL Ashly Jamiah D. Manato, the outgoing Corps Commander, who expressed his gratitude to the PATTS Corps of Cadets. He reflected on the sacrifices endured during the conduct of the PATTS NSTP-ROTC Program and imparted a message of determination and commitment to excellence that defines Batch Hiniladkas.
The event concluded on a high note with the singing of the Philippine Air Force Hymn, as the cadet graduates marched away, receiving applause and congratulations from their Military Training Instructors and fellow batch mates.
