In order to uphold PATTS’ vision to become the Centre of Excellence in Aviation Education, the Alliance of Aircraft Mechanics and Troubleshooters (AAMT) organized a seminar last April 29, 2023 for the BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology students entitled, “Think Ahead: Maintenance Manuals and Documents,” at the PATTS AVR. The seminar serves as a valuable addition to their knowledge, empowering students to unlock their full potential.
Achieving the seminar’s goal of "presenting knowledge about the aircraft manuals and documents as a guide for the students of the BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology Program" will not be possible without the presence of its guest speaker, Mr. Gilbert C. Bernardino (Former PATTS AMT Alumni). His words gave a clear path to the future of aircraft maintenance personnel in the aviation industry. Mr. Bernardino says that when the AMT students graduate, sharing their knowledge is a great way to make themselves more effective. The speaker also stated that "When working in the industry, consider yourself an empty bottle, and that all of the knowledge you gain over time will be the one who fills you up." He wanted to say that sharing what you have will be an effective way of flourishing not individually but as a whole.
Given the vital role that the aviation industry plays in the economy, it is imperative for aviation schools to nurture students who can meet and even surpass society's expectations. PATTS is committed to developing BS AMT students who can offer top-tier service in the industry. Through this seminar, students are inspired to go above and beyond their job descriptions, moving from being mere casual employees to valuable contributors - one who knows how to take the initiative to improve their work and the organization as a whole, and one that is passionate about their team's and organization's success.
This seminar will prepare the aviation industry for its brightest future by cultivating the best aviators.
