AVIONICS CAREER TALK

Part of the celebration of AvTech Week 2023 was the arrival of an event that promised to catapult the careers of BS Avionics Technology students to new heights. The Career Talk entitled, “Resume: Drafting Resumé for an Avionics Career,” was held with great fanfare on April 27, 2023 at  the PATTS Audio Visual Room (AVR). 

Three (3) guest speakers took the stage to guide the future graduates towards their career paths.  Mr. Yzjun Amata, (Quality Assurance Engineer in Ground Operation at Airswift Transport Inc.), shared his insights on how to become a successful leader in the aviation industry. He emphasized the significance of PCAR (Philippines Civil Aviation Rules) Part 2 and advised the students to take their time in achieving their goals.

Ms. Ainna Merced Sabado (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer 1 in Avionics at BN-Lufthansa Technik Ph. Villamor Airbase) talked about the growing potentials of BS AvTech graduates in the industry. She discussed the new technological advancements that make aircraft even safer and more efficient. 

Lastly, Mr. Raniel Alayon, an Operations Officer in the 105th Fighter Training Squadron, 5th Fighter Wing of the Philippine Air Force, shared his personal journey and experiences as a member of the Air Force. He encouraged the students to consider joining the Air Force as a unique and fulfilling career that also provides leadership opportunities to serve the country. 

The participants did not go home with an empty pocket. It was indeed a launchpad for a future filled with endless possibilities.
