SHS GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2023

Hosted by the dynamic quartet of Bianca Heart Garin, John Jedrick Ang, Samuel Mendoza, and Annika Jeanine Gatchalian, the PATTS Senior High School General Assembly on October 12, 2023 transformed the Chairman’s Penthouse into a pulsating time machine, catapulting students and faculty into the vibrant and eclectic world of the 1980s. This unforgettable evening, themed as the '80s Retro Party Extravaganza, blended nostalgia, camaraderie, and sheer excitement, creating a night etched in the memories of all who attended.

The evening unfolded with acknowledgments of the esteemed college officials, including Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO) and Dr. Catherine M. Camposano (Senior High School Principal). The festivities commenced with an electrifying dance performance that captured the essence of the '80s, setting the tone for a night of unforgettable experiences. The playlist, featuring iconic tunes of the decade, resonated with irresistibly catchy beats, keeping the crowd on their feet and transporting them back in time. Both students and faculty embraced the retro theme wholeheartedly, with vibrant patterns, scrunchy socks, and signature side ponytails, turning the venue into a scene straight out of a classic '80s teen movie.

The costume contest was a testament to the creativity of the PATTS community, with participants embodying the decade’s spirit with flair and enthusiasm. The showcase of outfits was a dazzling display of retro threads, with representatives from each section bringing their unique '80s vibe to life. From flashy ensembles to trendy outfits, the fashionistas of PATTS mastered the art of  fashion revival, earning praise and applause throughout the night.

The Retro Party was more than a nostalgic journey; it was a unifying experience that strengthened the sense of community among students, teachers, and staff. As everyone danced the night away, the event underscored the camaraderie that makes PATTS College of Aeronautics truly exceptional. During the awarding ceremony, a special recognition was given to Mr. Takuto Suzuki (Chancellor - PSHC). The People's Choice Awards were bestowed upon Scher Christian Masaganda and Bianca Heart Garin.  Additional awards were given for the “Head Turners,” Zildjan Dar and Bianca Heart Garin, and the “Trendsetters,” Kenshin Macatangay and Maria Angelica Decena. The Best Retro Outfit Award went to Ian Dave Taberna and Aryanne Dungog, adding an extra layer of excitement and recognition to the night. 

In retrospect, this unforgettable night reminds us that in our fast-paced world, we can pause to celebrate the past, savor the present, and eagerly anticipate a brighter future. The '80s Retro Party Extravaganza of the Senior High School General Assembly was, without a doubt, a night etched in the memories of all who attended.
