PATTS BUWAN NG WIKA

Lakas Katutubo: Unity & Diversity

PATTS College of Aeronautics celebrated Buwan ng Wika from August 22 to September 7, 2023, sharing the great Filipino spirit of bayanihan, joy, and laughter with the community, especially among its participants. Under the theme made by the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) entitled, “Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Seguridad, at Ingklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang Panlipunan,” a series of events and competitions occurred intending to display the importance of the voices and rights of the linguistically-diverse Filipino and katutubong wika, as well as emphasize the value of Filipino language, heritage and culture in unifying the nation.

Held at the PATTS Lobby and the Library, events such as Patimpalak sa Pagsulat ng Tula (Poetry Writing), Patimpalak sa Pagsulat ng Sanaysay (Essay Writing), Tagisan ng Talino (Quiz Bee), Patimpalak sa Pagguhit (Drawing Competition), Isahang Pag-Awit (Singing Competition), Kasuotang Pinoy (Ethnic Costume Competition), Photo Essay, Patimpalak sa Talumpating Handa at Hindi Handa (Speech and Impromptu Speech Competitions), and the senior high school's ethnic group presentation served as representations of the school and its student’s patriotism in the most creative and talented way.

The Filipino spirit is a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of resilience, warmth, and unbreakable bonds. It is a melody that sings of hope amidst adversity and dances with the rhythm of community and unity. The archipelagic nature of the Philippines mirrors the diversity of its spirit - the mountain tribes of the north, the sea-faring communities of the south, and the urban landscapes of bustling cities in between -  they all share a common thread of ingenuity and creativity.

This year’s celebration of Buwan ng Wika was a mark of excellence and a display of the great Filipino culture.
