“Ooh, minahal kita agad.” Truly, we loved the performances agad-agad in this year’s exhilarating Music Fest featuring DJ LV LIM, MOLAY, and the prominent band, Mayonnaise. The Music Fest was loaded and in fact, a successful  finish to PATTS’ 54th Foundation Day Celebration last March 17, 2023 at the PATTS Gymnasium. Vibrations were felt through the bones as the music was booming, not to mention,  the amazing dynamics of the hosts that helped energize the night.  The audience’s enthusiasm was beyond words as they sang their throats out and danced their feet off to the familiar songs performed by the guests. 

The rock band MOLAY opened with head-bangers featuring five (5) songs, which awakened the inner punk and angst in the PATTSeans. Like fuel to a flame, the band set the fire because the event was about to get more lit! Everybody was jumping to the beat and the band’s interactions and sing-alongs sparked more energy to the audience especially for what was about to come next.

After the hosts’ crowd interaction – ladies and gentlemen, Mayonnaise has entered the building! The sound check alone was already a treat to the ears - a real mark of hall-of-famers in the OPM field. The band played multiple hits from their many famous songs such as Synesthesia, Sinungaling, Ipagpatawad Mo, Tayo na Lang Dalawa, Kapag Lasing Malambing, Laklak, etc., and most especially, the recent online sensation, Jopay. PATTSean, “kamusta ka na?” after hearing them play live? Another core memory made, for sure.

The party did not stop there. DJ LV LIM turned the beat up as she played hit after hit of her mixes. The ground was filled with shivers and the atmosphere was ecstatic - what better way to end the day than setting the dancefloor on fire.

If there is one thing that PATTS is known for besides providing quality aviation education, it is throwing bomb celebrations. The MusicFest 2022 is certainly one for the books - an experience to talk about the next day, a yearly event to look forward to in the future and a memory to reminisce about in the future’s past.
