APEX 2023

An Exhibition of Innovation Behind Youth Enthusiasts

Awarding of Certificates for the Technical Program’s Participants

PATTS AVR — After the peak of the sunrise, the Aeronautical Engineering Research Organization (AERO) led the celebration of the Aero Project Exhibition (APEX) 2023. The event was held to showcase the feasibility and research studies of the fourth-year students of PATTS College of Aeronautics, which has the potential to be innovative breakthroughs in the aviation industry in the future.

The event was graced with the presence of Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO). The chilly air of the room was submerged with a warm inspirational speech from Mr. Brian Ben C. Coronel (PATTS Research Director and Head of the Languages Department). He said, “The more research you do, the more you can do with your life.” It is in fact how research is vital in our lives as we use it in our everyday pursuits.

Feasibility and Research participants were all prepared for this moment as they were lined up according to the order of their presentations. The panelists include Ms. Cherry Ann B. Cuevas (Former Instructor, PATTS), Capt. Engr. Emiko Jeanne D. Gener (Licensed Aeronautical Engineer, Private and Commercial Pilot), Mr. Renato O. Escandor (Graduate School Professor, Polytechnic University of the Philippines), and Ms. Emiliani Rizon (Full-Time Faculty of Olivarez College and Part-Time Faculty of of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila).

The research presentation of the participants of the Management Programs came after the presentation of the participants of the Technical Programs. One study focused on the challenges experienced by the third year students who have taken online classes at an aeronautical school. Another study discussed the effects of using gadgets on first year BS Tourism Management students and another group discussed the passengers' perceptions of the airline's website's supplemental services. Lastly, there was a study that discussed the perception of customers on Lauterborn’s Marketing Communications on a travel agency.

As the discussions and presentations ended, Engr. Juan Rafael Piano (PATTS Faculty, BS AeroE) awarded the Certificates of Appreciation to the panelists for the time, effort, and knowledge that they imparted. With this APEX 2023, PATTSeans have proven that they, too, can be pioneers of outstanding innovation in the aviation industry.
