ALMAZING GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The Alliance of Aero Modelers and Flyers (ALM) organized an extraordinary gathering on October 14, 2023, where the passionate control line aficionados from PATTS College of Aeronautics came together.   This significant event took place at the Gymnasium, where the essence of the occasion was meticulously cultivated.   The purpose of the program was to introduce PATTS' aspiring aviators to the thrilling world of Control Line Flying and to thoroughly prepare them for a flight filled with awe and exhilaration. 

A roster of attendees graced the assembly with their presence, including the esteemed Mr. Oscar “Obi” Mapua (Founder - Control Line Flying Philippines), Dr. Emelita I. Javier (VP for Student Affairs), Engr. Joy Cosme G. Amores Jr. (VP for Academic Affairs), and Engr. Brixvon P. Cruz (Student Affairs/SOCI Officer, and ALM Adviser). Amid the thrilling atmosphere, attendees were treated to breathtaking events like record-breaking flights, a paper aircraft relay, a precision flying competition aced by Rence Aldrich P. Mendoza followed by Ian Raymond M. Cruz and James C. Labor, raffles, and a live Control Line Aerobic Performance by Mr. Nelson Barabas

It was, without a question, a day of unmatched enthusiasm and success. But of course, an assembly would not be complete without a guest artist, so Jed Baruelo was there to serenade the hearts of the flyers and modelers, proving the grandeur of the assembly with a performance filled with chart-topping classics, including the song "Nahuhulog," which reached the top of the Philippine music charts.

A strong sense of cohesion and one purpose was evident in the concluding minutes of this year's ALM General Assembly, highlighting the organization's unwavering strength and continuous success. The choices made, bonds strengthened, and creative ideas exchanged during this historic meeting set the stage for the organization's rise into a bright and promising future. The spirit of this gathering—a firm resolve, a steadfast commitment to shared goals, and an unwavering faith in overcoming obstacles as a group—travels with the participants as they set out on global adventures. 

This gathering was more than just an event, it was a powerful demonstration of the group's strength as a whole. ALM is the first Control Line Flying organization in the nation, so it is full of excitement and unbridled energy as it looks forward to the many chances and successes that lie ahead.
