PATTSINO! — “I am proud to be a PATTSean,” words that keep every heart beating as the virtual 53rd Anniversary posts continue to fly on their screens day by day. Notifications rang that fateful morning on February 25, 2022 at 8AM – it finally came! – everyone knew it was going to be good. Like every anniversary that came before, a mass was conducted before the event began for the community to recognize another blessing that consistently knocks on the doors of the institution. Not long after, the opening ceremony had begun with the welcoming remarks by the College President and COO Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez, thanking the student body, faculty and staff, alumni association, and industry partners for their unwavering support. “2022 will be a rebuilding year in the aviation industry,” Engr. Valdez mentioned, pointing out that PATTS will continue to provide quality education and training to their students to prepare them in the future. Finally, gracing the virtual stage was the Chairman of the Board for Aeronautical Engineering of the Professional Regulation Commission, Engr. Ernesto B. Ferreras, Jr. He mentioned the havoc caused by the pandemic and how the anniversary is worth celebrating, since it is a way to merge the past, present, and future to face the challenges ahead. “We are all PATTSeans, Mabuhay ang PATTS!” Engr. Ferreras said, concluding his inspiring message.

SYNERGY OF WIT — Eight teams showcased their wit as they clashed head-to-head for the Battle of the Brains 2022 — Three categories namely: easy, average, and difficult composing ten questions from general aviation, management, languages, mathematics, sciences, and Philippine geography subjects were given. As the famous Walt Disney quote goes, “I have been up against tough competition all my life; I wouldn't know how to get along without it." To all the participants, always remember that people will be vying for the same ideas, honors, and success as you but instead of stressing yourself out, use the competition as a way to keep you on your toes and improve your qualities. Use it to help fuel and encourage yourself to go above and beyond.
