PATTS GRADUATION BALL 2023

Embarking on a Grandeur Departure

The skies lit up on the night of June 17, 2023  and the halls of the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City were filled with glitz and glamor as PATTS College of Aeronautics held its most awaited Graduation Ball for the Class of 2023.  With the theme, "The Runways' Limelight: A Grandeur Departure," the graduating students wore stunning attire inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, with the women wearing dazzling long gowns and the men in their sharp-looking suits and ties. The momentous event aimed to commemorate the years of hard work and perseverance of all the senior students, and mark the end of their academic and college journey. The venue overflowed with nothing but joy and elegance as students, along with faculty members and administrators, danced and enjoyed the night.

The event was hosted by Ms. Ashley Love Olos, a third-year BS Airline Business Administration student, and Mr. Francis Cauyan, a third-year BS Air Transportation student. Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO) attended the party and shared a few words dedicated to the graduating class as they reaped the rewards of their dedication and tenacity. With his words, he reminded the soon-to-be graduates to always value the lessons they gained along their college journey and use them to overcome and face obstacles that they may encounter in their professional careers.

Other executive members and administrators of the institution were also present to  join the celebration, including Mr. Ramon B. Dumlao Jr. (Board Trustee), Atty. Anna Katrina V. Cruz (Board Trustee and VP for Administrative Affairs), Dr. Emelita I. Javier (VP for Student Affairs), Atty. Juan Victor S. Valdez (Corporate Secretary), and Engr. Joy Cosme G. Amores Jr. (VP for Academic Affairs).

Engr. Amores, in his words of inspiration, hoped that the students would always embody the values and graduate attributes of a PATTSean wherever life may take them. Apart from the institution's executive members and officials, the night was also made extra special by the appearance and performance of the Philippines' Ethereal Diva, Ms. Laarni Lozada, who melted everyone’s hearts with her singing prowess.

Unlike any other ball that features dancing and fancy dinners, participants were immersed in a quest through a cinematic experience. The program revolved around a mission in search of the "Blue Jadeite," which symbolized a student's journey of overcoming all challenges and gaining skills in preparation for their professional careers. The night became even more exciting as the so-called "questers" were embodied by the contestants for the titles of Mr. and Ms. Graduation Ball 2023.

The night concluded with the awarding of various special awards to selected attendees for their exceptional attire and captivating ensembles. Furthermore, the class of 2023 danced the night away and reveled in the loud music as they celebrated their last days as students before finally setting foot in the halls of the Philippine International Convention Center in September, wearing their academic regalia.
