A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Golden dust sparkled upon the cold night sky as the PATTS Guild of Air Transportation Students (GATS) celebrated an event entitled,"Soirée Grandiose: A Looking Glass to the Stars".  With grace and confidence, the BS AT students dazzled the Chairman’s Penthouse in black and white formal attire last November 19, 2022 for another memorable night to remember.

Mr. Patrick John Villanueva (BS Air Transportation Instructor) kicked off the program together with an inspiring message and breathtaking achievements by a former GATS President for the academic year 2019 to 2022, Mr. Louis Alberto Garces. "All we need to learn is not how to encode METARS; it is not how you solve integration; it is not how you rely on mathematical formulas because everyone can learn from it." He also concluded that the main reason why students need to handle this is that they need to learn the moral principle in all its finer details. "The main secret is to just be humble," he said. Always look at the person, not just through his or her characteristics, contributions, or actions, but through his or her heart. This phase of the program also introduced the BS AT faculty members and a special performance led by the PATTS Vocal Harmony.

Then, a welcoming video message was presented from a special guest, Capt. Paul Joshua "Pilot Matts" Mateo (a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration student of the University of Sto. Tomas), sharing his love and fondness for aviation.  This was then followed by a showcase of flair in the Air Trans Got Talent and a parade of beauty, intelligence and talent in most-awaited Mr. and Ms. Air Trans 2022.  Winners were also announced afterwards: Air Trans Got Talent 2nd Runner-Up, Mr. Brylle Perfecto; 1st Runner-Up: Mr. Jevon Sarmiento; and Champion, Mr. Lawrence Santos. Mr. and Ms. Air Trans 2022 1st Runners-Up, Mr. Maverick Monteza and Ms. Iris Angeles; Mr. Air Trans 2022, Mr. Alexis Mendoza and Ms. Air Trans 2022,  Kimberly Reyes.  The People's Choice Award was awarded to Mr. Maverick Monteza and Ms. Kimberly Reyes. 

As time went on, GATS also gave out awards to students who participated in the sports competition in 2022. PATTS Dance Company presented their intermission number, and special guest Jae K performed his new songs as the program came to an end.
