This year’s celebration of PATTS’ 49th Foundation Anniversary, with the theme, “Beyond the Skyline @ 49” has been extra special as it is one year closer to its golden years.  Fresh ideas were put together to make this two-day celebration a remarkable one for every PATTSean.

Approaching its golden years, PATTS College of Aeronautics shone bright at the celebration of the 49th Foundation Day on February 6-7, 2018. The opening ceremony, where Guest of Honor Mr. John T. Lee (President, Applied Machining Corporation) expressed his positive impressions of the school’s updated facilities, was graced by the presence of College Officials Ms. Ma. Felisa S. Valdez (Vice Chair and CFO), Engr. Jose Eduardo S. Valdez (College President and COO), Atty. Anna Katrina V. Cruz (VP for Administrative Affairs), Engr. Lorenzo D.L. Naval Jr. (VP for Academic Affairs), Dr. Emelita I. Javier (VP for Student Affairs), with Dr. Catherine M. Camposano (SHS Principal), Engr. Shieldon M. Cuenca (PFA President) and Niko Carabeo (PSC President), Chairpersons, Department Heads, Faculty, Staff, and the rest of the college community.  Guest celebrity Ms. Louise Delos Reyes entertained the audience with a song number and shared her thoughts about how she misses being in school, sharing pieces of advice to students on doing their best for the people who sacrifice a lot of things for them.

The Booths and Bazaars, themed as Golden Pearl of the Orient, gave the PATTS volleyball court a festival of its own. The student populace was indeed astounded by the variety of games, gimmicks, and food and drinks available at the site. The event showcased the students' creativity and innovativeness which was manifested by the unique and festive designs of each booth.

Beauty, elegance, and diversity of talents were celebrated in the annual Mr. and Ms. PATTS Pageant and PATTS Idol.  The beat dropped and the crowd went ecstatic at the AR Valdez Hall for the Musicfest x Neonfest: APOLLO 49 with performances from guests Itchyworms and Dj Arra Pascual.

The Foundation Day is indeed a good way for the students to take a break from all the academic activities taking place, and at the same time, to reminisce how PATTS has evolved into a bigger community of people working hand-in-hand for the success of the school.
